My story
My name is Jennifer Waibel; I am currently an accounting student at OTC. I am passionate about family and work. Family is very important to me and would eventually like to get a job where I can mostly telecommute, so that I can stay home. I am also extremely passionate about my work; I believe that you should always strive to get things done the first time. I believe that it is an extreme waste of time to have to redo something because you were being lazy.I have worked many jobs in the past that are not really related to the job field that I am currently seeking. I worked these jobs because I was never too sure of what I really wanted to do. I am now older, and perhaps wiser, and I have looked at my life and realized that I now have to grow up and make a decision. Growing up math was never my favorite subject, but I was always good at it and I have also come to love it. Over the past 3 years I have been a stay at home mom, and as such I have successfully paid off debt, made and kept budgets, and organized the life of a family. Never once (with in my control) was I late to an appointment or function. I am a very punctual person, I always have.
Something that I can bring to any organization is my financial know how and my organization skills. At one of the businesses that I used to work for (Anything Imprinted) my job involved lots of paperwork: faxing, retrieving fax conformation, filing, finding them again, determining returns, and more. When I first started to work there this paperwork was much unorganized, in order for me to be effective in my job I had to organize this paperwork. I sorted all the paperwork in to folders that would sit on my desk until it was time to file, this is a procedure that they still use till this day.
I also have great customer service skills that I have perfected over the past ten years. When I worked at AM/PM out in San Diego, I was told by my manager that I was the best "up seller" that they had. "up selling" involved the simple task of talking with the customer and letting them know about the specials as well as getting to know the "regulars." I did my best to meet all the needs of my customers, and I am willing to continue that task in every job that I have in the future.
That being said I would just like to reiterate that I have good customer service, financial know how, and great organizational skills. This allows me to keep existing customers, and attract more. It also allows me to be punctual and get things done right the first time around.
